By the Grace of God! From the moment Emily came into my life, I had the desire to spend the rest of my life with her. My brother, Jeffrey and Emily’s sister, Annie were friends in college. Thankfully, they had the most perfect idea to set us up. The circumstances did not guarantee success. Emily living in Santa Barbara and myself living and working in New Jersey. However, a little will-power and a lot of desire can go a long way in making something magical happen.


After only a few weeks of communicating with one another, I flew to California to meet Emily for the first time. A trip that involved a lot of risk, but I knew I had to meet the girl face to face whose voice I was so taken away with over the phone. 


In typical fashion, Emily was late to pick me up from the airport with her wet hair and sandy feet coming right from her surf session in the ocean. If you know me- that is all I needed to see, an absolutely gorgeous, care-free and joyful blonde babe. I was so fired up! Our first trip meeting one another was joyful and intentional. We very quickly realized how easy it was to get along, unlocking so many similar desires and a simple pleasure of just being together. 


From that point on, the main focus of each of our lives was to make this relationship work. We met each other’s families and spent countless amounts of time with both of our friends. One of the biggest motivations that pushed us forward was the amount of affirmation we received from the people closest to us. Emily and myself each have a deep desire for the individuals in our lives. We have made it a point to ensure we are intertwining our relationship with our community. We are so thankful for all of the people in our lives that have been so influential in pushing this relationship forward.


We are thrilled to have you all at our wedding! God is so good and has blessed us incredibly with friends and family that love us both so well. We hope and pray that the Glory of the Lord shines brightly on our wedding day, and that everyone witnessing can feel the powerful love that Jesus has for us all.
